Frequently Asked Questions - DeGiulio Industries

Q. What cabinet door styles do you offer?

De Giulio Industries offers more than 40 door styles for kitchens and bathrooms (and other rooms) in traditional, contemporary, or transitional designs.  Our Georgetown Collection features select-grade hardwoods; our Elite Plus Door Styles consist of decorative laminates fused to MDF substrate. (All styles are displayed in our Showroom complete with accessories and integrated appliances.

Q. How are your cabinets constructed?

Cabinets, in fact all of our case goods, are constructed with a higher-density, warp and water-resistant furniture grade boards. A full length back panel and dowelled assembly system insures rigidity. Interior surfaces have scratch-resistant, easy to clean finishes.

Door hinges are all-metal, concealed, and “soft” closing.  The soft-closing drawers, either wood or side-mounted metal sides, feature a heavy bottom for greater load capacity. Our innovative accessories form an integral part of our cabinets.  (Please visit our factory for up-dated specifications.)

Q. What is the advantage of purchasing cabinetry directly from the manufacturer?

There are many advantages: purchasing from a manufacturer gives you more value at less cost; better control of quality; faster order processing; custom sizes readily available.

Q. Which countertops do you offer?

We offer solid-surface CORIAN, quartz-surface ZODIAQ, and granite.  We are certified in solid surface CORIAN fabrication direct from our factory.

Q. Do you carry a specific brand of appliances?

We are an authorized dealer of Bosch and Thermador appliances, both built-in and free standing. The appliances and plumbing fixtures are integrated in our Showroom kitchen and bath displays.

Q. What are the main features of each countertop material?

Granite is a natural stone, polished to a glossy surface. Several quality levels are found in granite.  Because it is porous, it requires periodic re-sealing. ZODIAQ, manufactured by DuPont, is a solid, glossy, “engineered” countertop material composed mainly of quartz. Non-porous, it doesn’t require sealing.  CORIAN, also a DuPont product, is non-porous, easy to keep clean, and seamless in appearance.  Both CORIAN and ZODIAQ have a 10-year warranty. All countertop materials and colors are displayed in our Showroom.

Q. How long does it take to remodel an average-sized kitchen?

Besides size there are many variables in a kitchen remodeling project. In general, simple renovations, such as replacing cabinets and countertops, may be completed in a few days.  Obviously, projects requiring extensive remodeling – wall re-structuring, relocating plumbing fixtures, installing built-in appliances – would require more time.  We have the facilities to provide you with efficient and dependable services from concept to timely completion.

Q. What is the process for getting a design service, and do you give free estimates?

The first step is to visit our idea-inspiring showrooms; talk to our designers about your project, ask for an estimate (it’s free) and a design service. De Giulio Industries offers a very detailed and comprehensive CAD design service so that you are able to see – and evaluate – the scope and merits of a project. An in-home visit may be arranged so that all measurements, designs given, may be confirmed and meet your approval.

Q. Do you work with other design professionals?

Yes.  We work with builders, architects, and interior designers.  (Or you may use our in-house professional designers to help you in defining your plans.)
